1. What We Collect

Faith Notes collects only what is needed to provide transcription and AI summarization:

• Voice recordings – captured on your device when you tap "Record." Recordings are sent over HTTPS to our server solely for transcription and then discarded.
• Transcribed text and AI summaries – stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. We do not store them on our servers.
• Usage counts – a local counter tracking how many free recordings you have used (stored on-device only).

2. How We Use Your Data

• Voice audio is forwarded to OpenAI Whisper for speech-to-text transcription.
• Transcribed text may be forwarded to OpenAI GPT-4o-mini to generate a concise summary.
• We do not use your recordings, transcripts, or summaries for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than delivering the in-app feature you requested.

3. Third-Party Services

• OpenAI – processes audio and text solely to return transcription/summary results. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat – manages in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect anonymized purchase data. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
• Google Play Billing – handles payment processing for subscriptions on Android. See Google's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Retention

Audio recordings are not retained on our servers — they are processed in real time and deleted immediately after transcription. Notes and summaries live entirely on your device and are removed when you delete the app.

5. Children's Privacy

Faith Notes is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

6. Your Rights

Since we do not retain personal data on our servers, there is no account or server-side profile to delete. You can erase all app data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage in your device settings.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. The effective date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
